Bowls Northland is actively seeking an enthusiastic person for the day-to-day running of the Centre’s office and organising the delivery of events and tournaments. This position is the first point of contact for Bowls Northland.


You will be

  • Providing confidential and professional administration support to enable the Centre to meet its responsibilities and ensure the achievement of Bowls Northland’s objectives.

  • Planning, managing and communicating Centre Tournaments to provide high-quality experiences to inspire, attract, and retain players.

  • Creating excellent relationships and playing opportunities that support Bowls Northland’s aim to have more people playing and enjoying bowls more often.


Ideally you will have

  • A Tertiary Qualification in Management / Business Administration or a related discipline.

  • Experience playing, coaching or administering community sport.

  • Demonstrated success in the delivery of events, tournaments, or competitions.

  • Experience in MYOB, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and general office systems.

  • Strong organisation and time management skills.

  • A willingness to work flexible hours to meet the demands of the job.

  • Enthusiasm and passion for the work you do that inspires the people around you to feel valued and welcome.


This role is 35 hours per week, which may include weekends during the season and is based at the Centre office at Bowls Whangarei.
